Crystal Falls Recognized for It’s Beauty

In Leander, the Neighborhood Beautification Award for mid-sized communities was presented to Bill Hinckley, president of The Lookout Group Inc. and developer of Crystal Falls communities as the best of the best in local communities for commitment to the beautification and aesthetic appearance.

Hinkley stated “It is the culmination of years of striving to artfully employ native Texas Hill Country plants and natural limestone monuments from our abandoned quarry to enhance the magnificent natural beauty of this community. Using these materials not only creates a sense of place but recognizes the toil of those who worked for decades in the Whitestone Quarry.”

With more than 5,000 acres in five communities, Crystal Falls is the largest master-planned community of northwest Austin. These communities, The Boulders, Cap Rock, Grand Mesa, The Highlands and The Fairways are uniquely different with homesites that range from 60-foot lots to 5 acres and square footages from 2,000 square feet to 10,000 square feet.

Where Is Crystal Falls

Crystal Falls begins at Crystal Falls Parkway and Bagdad Road in Leander. The Boulders is located on both sides of Crystal Falls Parkway at Bagdad. By proceeding west on Crystal Falls Parkway, The Fairways, a gated community is located on the left just past Whitestone Elementary School, just a little further west on the right is Grand Mesa, also a gated community, and just a short distance on the left is Cap Rock.

The Highlands is the only one of the communities not located on Crystal Falls Parkway. It is located at Lakeline Blvd. and Osage. From the back of the neighborhood and the North side , the other communities are in view.

To see these beautiful communities, contact me at 512-259-1972. I love showing the beauty of the west side of Leander.

Crystal Falls Communities continue to grow. It is no secret that these communities are unique for Leander. I remember when the first home was built there by Streetman Homes in Grand Mesa. I was just stunned with excitement when I first visited this development. The awe-inspiring views and rolling hills just took my breath away. I remember thinking that this was just “pure Texas”, the land I loved so much. I am just so excited that there is going to be “more”.

Taylor Morrison is in the planning stage of building out their new 1200 lots in Crystal Falls. Although this writing is premature for details, The Fairways and The Bluffs are two of the areas of homesites where they will be building. I spoke to Kim Guley, Taylor Morrison’s Internet Home Consultant, last week and she shared tentative information with me on the planning of this development at this time. I hope to have information regarding the other two areas of homesites in the near future.

The homesites will be 50’, 60’, 70’ and 80’ in width. Taylor Morrison is developing some new floorplans and will build some of their most popular floorplans that buyers have been choosing in other neighborhoods. One of their new floorplans will be a one story home with a bonus room on top.

While the roads are being built leading to the new neighborhoods, Taylor Morrison has purchased four lots at The Highlands at Crystal Falls model location. These homes will not be utilized for sales but strictly to showcase the homes that will be built in the four sections where they have purchased homesites.

The first model to be completed will be their very popular Florence model. I am looking forward to learning more about these new developments and will continue this blog as the information is revealed to me.
